Asbestos Testing DIY Program
The asbestos testing program was developed because of the lack of knowledge and skilled persons in South Africa. The main aim of the testing kit is to create better awareness and to prevent asbestos-related illnesses such as lung cancer and asbestosis and make it affordable.
With the lack of qualified and trained competent persons, we decided to create a program where everybody can benefit.
First of all, we all knew that asbestos must be identified and recorded in an inventory.
The program will allow you the contractor and or owner of the property to identify all asbestos-containing material and record it.
How does it work?
The testing kit will be purchased via the online store or through one of our sales representatives. Our mobile app software will then send the purchaser an SMS and or email to confirm the sale.
Included in the package:
1. Brochure how to take samples
2. PPE (Personal protective equipment) (asbestos suit, mask & gloves)
3. Ziplok bags for samples
4. Return envelope for samples back to us
When the package is delivered an SMS will be sent to a dedicated mobile
number followed up by an email linked to the mobile number.
The assessment will be loaded on the mobile app for a specific date where the dedicated person will have to download and open the App. The mobile App will create and generate all the necessary reports needed to complete the asbestos risk assessment.
